Choice or Circumstance

I wanted to take some photos today and since the hummingbirds weren't cooperating this morning I decided to take to the streets and see what I could find. It never seizes to amaze me at how much my camera speaks to me.
I am not sure what brought my subjects to the place they are today, whether it be choice or circumstance, but I do know I am grateful for my life. It's so easy to forget how fortunate we are to have what we have. The comfort of a pillow, a cool glass of water, a clean change of clothes. I am so guilty of the "poor me" syndrome at times. "I wish I had new furniture, a better camera, more clothes to choose from." And then my camera takes me here. I have made bad choices threw out my life, but I have to remember those choices were lessons and brought me to where I am today. It hasn't always been easy but is anything worth having ever easy? I hope the people I saw today decide to make the right choices and change their circumstances. I also wish everyone a wonderful weekend filled with all the little things that make you smile.

Hanging with the Pros

What a great time yesterday hanging out with a group of Photographers from the Bloom Forum. I just love how they are all so helpful and willing to share their knowledge with such a newbie as me. It was a funfilled day of photos, swimming and trying our hand at underwater photography. Here are a few of the out of the pool photos I shot.
